The summit is 3,152 m — over 500 m higher than the city, which is itself at 2,640 m. Altitude sickness affects a meaningful minority of visitors at this elevation. Do not do this on your first day, walk slowly at the top, and skip it entirely if you are unwell. Round trip transport is COP 35,000; the discounted Sunday rate is sold on site only.
